Hi all, and welcome back to regular updates here on the blog. if you didn't know before hand, I have been away overseas this month spending time at an orphanage in Singaraja, Indonesia, in a joint project between, Beyond the Box (Tasmania) and Zions Hill Church at this end, and dMaker International and Mercy Indonesia at their end. In 9 days, I managed to shoot about 3500 photos, which we have culled down to 350 for slides, and probably about 100 images that will be edited and used for promotional purposes by all the parties involved. If you want to find out more about the trip check out the Beyond the Box Blog in my links section. Anyhow, these are a few quick spontaneous portraits of the new kids in my life.
Selvi, looks serious, but is really full of smiles.

You notice, that i say they are always smiling and happy? Even though they were only just starting to learn english, a smile, a wave and an image on the back of the camera was enough to communicate with them and see just how happy they were to have visitors. Look out for some more pics of the scenery and lifestyle here over the next few weeks.
